Ericsson Smart Factory Inc. seeks Test Developer Engineer in Lewisville, TX; Hybrid work policy w/in commuting distance, who will serve to develop and document RF (Radio Frequency) test solutions for Ericsson new radio products based on design requirements.
What you will do:
Implement, verify and maintain test methods/algorithms as part of RF test system that includes test Software and Hardware. Utilize technical expertise to develop test software for Ericsson radio products used for calibration and verification of radio parameters. Verify that the software is performing the calibration of the radio as expected and performance measurements are meeting the product design expectations. Provide technical expertise and support for Ericsson's key technical activities in specification, design, integration, verification, and release of product test systems to enable new product introduction on-time, on-quality, and on-cost. Maintain Ericsson test software according to product requirements and production requirements. Participate in technical daily team meetings and design meetings. Collaborate with team members to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve daily technical issues involved with Ericsson software development activities. Develop and verify drivers for RF measurement instruments. Debug and improve existing tests solutions and methods for better technical performance. Setup hardware and software to execute RF radio measurements in lab environment. Hybrid work policy w/in commuting distance.
You will bring:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Radio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in a test development engineering role.
Experience to include 2 years in:
1.Developing and documenting new test systems or their variants in a software and hardware environment.
2.C family languages including C#, source code version control tools and object oriented paradigm; Programming languages including Python, TCL, XML scripting, MatLab, and LabView;
3.Using analog radio frequency instruments to make conducted and radiated measurements using signal analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers;
4.Creating design specifications for test and troubleshooting of devices under test;
5.Analog RF;
6.Implementing and verifying new test methods including remote control of devices under test and automating control of measurement equipment;
7.Supporting test station setup, troubleshooting, maintenance and calibration; Supporting product designers in prototype debugging and performance evaluation;
8.Working on test system performance and stability improvement using statistical data analysis and interpretation techniques including test time reduction, yield improvement, and false failure reduction;
9.Developing test methods by using analog and digital electronics;
10.Far/near field antenna measurements;
11.Reading and understanding electrical schematics and working with PCB layout tools;
12.Digital signal processing;
13.Measurement uncertainty calculation;
14.Using a radio design bench tool software integration and verification to communicate with RF instruments including signal generators, analyzers, and power meters;
15.Embedded software continuous integration of CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and deployment process.
