Territory Sales Manager – Power Systems Group (PSG)
Position Summary
Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is hiring a Territory Sales Manager to lead sales and customer relationship activities for Power Systems Group (PSG) products, services, and solutions within an assigned geographic region.
This role will develop and execute sales strategies to grow existing accounts, identify new business opportunities, and build long-term relationships with key electric utility customers. The Territory Sales Manager will partner with independent manufacturer representatives and internal MEPPI teams to understand customer needs, identify technical solutions, and achieve revenue, volume, and profitability objectives.
This is a territory-based position, with candidates ideally located in or near Minneapolis, MN; St. Louis, MO; or Chicago, IL.
Essential Functions
- Sales – Develop and implement sales strategies and supporting tactics, including sales channel management for assigned accounts, to achieve Power Systems Group (PSG) revenue, volume, and profitability objectives. Proactively assess customer business needs and, independently or in conjunction with the Regional Sales Vice President, apply technical knowledge and expertise to identify the best solutions and alternatives to meet those needs.
- Relationship Management – Establish and maintain PSG's relationships with customers within an assigned geographic territory. Develop long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders. Act as the interface between the customer and relevant internal divisions, including sales, production, service, and support, to ensure the timely and successful delivery and operation of products and solutions. Maintain excellent working relationships while furthering the goals and positive professional image of the Company with customers, vendors, and MEPPI divisions.
- Research, Planning and Forecasting – Develop timely and accurate volume and revenue forecasts for assigned accounts. Continuously monitor performance and recommend adjustments to forecasts as necessary. Analyze market statistics, trends, and customer and competitor activity to determine their impact on PSG plans and the ability to meet business objectives. Provide recommendations for improvements or changes in policies, products, and/or procedures to the Regional Sales Vice President.
- Sales Channel Management – Manage, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of PSG's independent manufacturer representative organizations within the assigned territory. Discuss performance, issues, opportunities, and recommended actions with the Regional Sales Vice President.
- Industry & Technical Knowledge – Maintain technical competency and remain current on changes, trends, products, and technologies within the electric utility industry.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including experience selling products, services, or solutions and experience within the electric utility industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with and/or managing independent manufacturer representatives or sales representative organizations preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization.
- Proven track record of developing strong customer relationships and successfully executing across functions and organizational levels.
- Well-developed analytical, negotiation, customer service, and presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality, results, and customer service.
- Strong team orientation and professional presence.
- Developed computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office products.
