About Abby Care

Making family care possible. At Abby Care, we are tackling one of the most important and unsolved challenges of our time: family caregiving.

Over 50 million Americans are family caregivers for loved ones without pay, tools, or support. Our mission is clear and ambitious: to train and employ family caregivers so they can get paid for the care they already provide at home.

Abby Care is building a tech-powered, family-first care platform to efficiently deliver care, improve health outcomes, and provide the best-in-class experience nationwide.

We are rapidly expanding our mission and looking for passionate team members to join. Abby Care has partnered with leading insurance plans, healthcare providers, and community organizations. We’re supported by top, mission-driven VCs to empower families throughout the country.

The Role:

We are looking for a builder with a true hunter mentality. This is a ground-floor opportunity to own the Boston market, navigate a complex healthcare landscape, and install our care model as the gold standard for families in need.

We don't care if your background is in medical sales, high-volume BDR work, or if you’re a former clinician looking to transition into a high-stakes business role. What we do care about is grit, self-discipline, and the ability to simplify complexity. If you are a relentless problem-solver who isn't afraid to knock on doors and build a territory from scratch, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities:

New Provider Acquisition

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through provider commitment through Qualified Lead processing

  • Engage physicians, administrators and clinical decision makers to drive adoption

  • Navigate clinical objections, compliance considerations and operational workflows

  • Convert qualified leads into signed participation

Pipeline & Execution

  • Maintain a clean, accurate pipeline in Salesforce

  • Prioritize high-intent providers - progress & nurture them

  • Forecast accurately and consistently against quota

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth activation and onboarding

Market & Account Focus

  • Focus on providers, pediatrics, therapists, specialists, case management companies and other clinical practices within assigned territories

  • Execute targeted outbound strategies

Key Performance Indicators:

Conversion & Funnel Health KPIs

These tell you whether execution is actually working

  • Average days from first contact to first lead

  • Drop off rate by funnel stage

  • Lead -> FSA conversion rate

  • FSA -> SOC rate

Activity & Execution KPIs

These are guardrails, not the goal, but matter early.

  • Meaningful provider conversations per week

  • Qualified meetings held

  • Decision-maker engagement rate

  • Touches per FSA (benchmarking efficiency)

  • Penetration rate within assigned territory

  • Share of target accounts contacted

Behavior & Operating Cadence KPIs

These are expectations, not comp drivers, but enforce standards.

  • Salesforce hygiene score (fields complete, notes logged)

  • On-time forecast submissions

  • Attendance and preparedness for pipeline reviews

  • Coaching action plan completion

Goals (What Wins the Job)

These directly tie to quota and variable comp.

  • Qualified Leads

  • Net new activated providers

  • FSAs Signed

  • Monthly quota attainment (% to plan)

The Requirements:

Hunter Mentality: You have 1–5 years of experience in a relevant role (Sales, Recruiting, Business Development, etc.) where you were responsible for hitting a number.

Intellectual Curiosity: Healthcare is complex (prior auths, acuity, ADLs). You don't need to know these terms on Day 1, but you must have the capacity to learn them quickly and speak the language of a clinician with confidence.

Operational Rigor: You understand that "if it isn’t in the CRM, it didn't happen." You have a disciplined daily cadence and a high degree of self-accountability.

Resilience: You are energized by the word "No." You understand that building a new market requires high activity and persistent follow-up.

Local Roots: You currently reside in the Greater Boston area and are ready to be in the field daily. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

Benefits:

Competitive compensation packages that reflect the value you bring. We reward our team for the impact of their work – full-time employees are eligible for an annual company performance bonus.

Comprehensive health coverage that works for you. Choose from high-quality medical dental and vision options, including a $0 deductible PPO and a company-funded HSA, alongside employer-paid life and disability insurance.

Generous paid time off. We provide policies that allow you to recharge along with 10 paid company holidays.

Financial savings benefits to support your future. We support your financial well-being with HSA contributions, optional FSA and commuter benefits, and full coverage of all 401(k) account fees (employer match not currently offered).

Paid parental leave to support your growing family. We provide paid leave, so you can focus on bonding and adjusting to life as your family grows.

We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, consistent with applicable laws. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, satisfactory references, and any required documentation.

Our Values
  1. Families First
Redefining healthcare starts with how we treat the parents and children we serve. We go above and beyond for every family, building strong, lasting relationships. We continually ask ourselves, “Would we want this for our own families?”

  2. Urgency with Precision
Millions of families are waiting for care, and they cannot wait, therefore this is not your typical 9 to 5 job. We match their urgency with our own, delivering exceptional care without compromise. Here, speed and excellence go hand in hand.

  3. Relentlessly Resourceful
As an ambitious startup, we adapt quickly and make the most of limited time and resources. We solve challenges with creativity to deliver results without unnecessary complexity.

  4. Purpose with Positivity
We take our mission seriously while never losing sight of the people behind the work. Respect, kindness, memes, and coffee make us stronger as a team and better for the families we serve.

  5. Driven to Redefine What’s Possible
We are here to make healthcare better, which means asking hard questions, challenging outdated systems, and finding smarter, more compassionate ways to deliver care.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
