Role PurposeThe Territory Manager – Northeast owns the commercial performance of the territory. This role is accountable for retaining and expanding the existing customer base while deliberately building new customers, applications, and channel partnerships that compound long-term value.
The Northeast territory includes all Northeastern states excluding New York and New Jersey. This is not a coverage role. It is a business ownership role, with clear accountability for revenue performance, margin discipline, and brand integrity across the territory.
This role requires comfort making independent commercial decisions with material revenue impact.
What You’ll DoOwn the full commercial performance of the Northeast territory, treating it as a standalone business
Protect and grow the existing customer base through proactive engagement, disciplined execution, and sound commercial judgment
Expand share of wallet, product penetration, and strategic depth within current accounts
Identify, develop, and onboard new customers, distributors, and channel partners aligned with territory strategy
Align distributors and brokers to clear growth objectives and performance expectations
Execute territory plans that balance revenue growth, margin discipline, and long-term brand credibility
Identify competitive risks, churn signals, and whitespace opportunities early—and act on them
Maintain rigorous CRM usage, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline accountability
Represent Diversified Botanics consistently and professionally across all field interactions
Travel is required and managed independently based on territory priorities
Treat a territory like a business, not a service route
See retention as the baseline and growth as the mandate
Optimize for long-term account health over short-term wins
Use data and evidence to allocate effort and make decisions
Operate independently while staying tightly aligned to strategy and standards
View account management as maintenance rather than expansion
Wait for others to surface risks, priorities, or opportunities
Avoid accountability for forecast accuracy or pipeline discipline
Prefer transactional selling over strategic relationship ownership
5+ years of outside B2B sales experience in a regulated or operationally complex environment
Demonstrated success managing and growing multi-state territories
Strong commercial judgment, negotiation discipline, and deal hygiene
Comfort operating with autonomy, accountability, and clear performance expectations
Alignment with our operating values: integrity, ownership, evidence, accountability, and velocity
The role balances an established customer base with targeted new customer and application development.
This role requires executional rigor and independent judgment. Minimum qualifications ensure day-one readiness. Preferred qualifications reflect depth, adaptability, and upward trajectory.
Proven success retaining and expanding existing B2B accounts
Ability to independently plan territory coverage, travel, and prioritization
Strong communication, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline
Experience expanding territories through new customers, applications, or channels
Distributor or broker management experience
Background in regulated, technical, or compliance-driven markets
You are accountable for what we have today—and what we build next.
This role is for a disciplined commercial operator who can protect the base, grow within it, and deliberately expand beyond it.
