Our Ways of Working

Babylist thrives as a remote-first company, with HQ team members located across the U.S. and Canada. We meet in person twice a year—once as a company and once by department to strengthen the relationships that power our work. We show up consistently, stay purpose-driven, leverage AI to amplify our impact, and achieve results—together, from anywhere.

What the Role Is

We're seeking a Temporary Replenishment Planner to join our growing E-Commerce team and keep Babylist Shop stocked with the products our users need, exactly when they need them. You'll own inventory replenishment for a highly curated assortment, partnering with planning and operations teams to nail forecasting accuracy and optimize inventory health in support of our business goals.

This role sits at the intersection of merchandising, planning, and operations—where data meets strategy and execution drives results. You'll balance in-stock rates with weeks of supply targets, make quick decisions backed by solid analysis, and hunt for opportunities to tighten processes and boost efficiency. Your work directly impacts sales, customer satisfaction, and the bottom line.

If you're an analytical thinker who gets energized by fast-growing e-commerce businesses, loves turning data into action, and thrives when every day brings something new—this role is for you.

This is a temporary role covering a parental leave from mid-December 2025 through mid-June 2026.

Who You Are

  • A planning professional with at least 2 years of hands-on replenishment planning experience
  • Analytically sharp with the ability to dig into data, spot meaningful patterns, and translate trends into action
  • Fluent in inventory planning concepts, retail math, and demand forecasting best practices
  • Skilled at untangling complex problems that require evaluating multiple variables, trade-offs, and data points
  • Proficient in Excel—you can slice, manipulate, and analyze datasets to drive smarter decisions
  • Agile and resourceful, pivoting priorities on the fly while hunting for process improvements that unlock efficiency
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle high volumes of vendor communication without missing a beat
  • Passionate about e-commerce, scrappy, and energized by wearing multiple hats
  • Someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments where every day brings new challenges
  • Hold a four-year college degree or equivalent
  • You're comfortable and enthusiastic about working in an AI-forward environment where AI tools are part of daily operations
  • You embrace using technology to enhance your work while keeping people at the center

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Drive sales and profitability by crafting replenishment strategies that optimize stock levels and keep products flowing
  • Calculate order quantities by SKU, blending historical sales, current inventory, and forward demand to hit optimal weeks of supply
  • Collaborate closely with Merchant and Planning teams to align on strategy and nail inventory targets
  • Track and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs (WOS, In-Stock Rates, fill rates), surfacing insights that inform decisions and shift priorities when needed
  • Stay ahead of inventory risks, flagging supply chain concerns early so forecasted sales stay on track
  • Build seasonal demand profiles that sharpen future forecasting and strengthen replenishment plans
  • Cultivate strong vendor relationships, ensuring optimal inventory levels and reliable PO fill rates
  • Show up prepared for monthly OTB meetings—share inventory forecasts, spotlight risks, and contribute to divisional planning
  • Execute seasonal and promotional buys that capitalize on demand opportunities
  • Be the go-to connector between vendors, merchants, and planners, resolving PO issues and keeping everyone aligned on out-of-stocks and concerns
  • Recommend smart assortment changes based on what's performing and what's not

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
