Your Role

As a member of our Member Success Team, you’ll work directly with Summer’s users to help them navigate Summer’s tools and enroll in federal forgiveness and repayment programs. With training and hands-on experience, you’ll quickly become an expert in the student loan landscape and serve as the first point of contact for our users. The role will require using a computer to interact with users by chat and email, as well as video calls to engage with team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engaging with users via email, live chat and text within our service level agreements
  • Reviewing and submitting applications for federal loan programs
  • Understanding Summer's product offerings and how they address borrowers' needs
  • Proactively suggesting ideas and automations that can help scale the team
  • Collaborating with the Member Success Team to achieve team and company growth goals in line with our social mission

This position will report to the Director of Member Success.

Recommended Experience

  • At least one year of relevant work experience. Experience with start-ups, finance (including financial aid or fintech), government programs, or customer support is preferred

This posting is for a temporary, full-time, non-exempt position. Although the role is remote, we do require that applicants be based in the United States. We regret that we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

The base salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, prorated for any partial year of employment, plus overtime as required by applicable law, and also includes a full range of benefits, as well as the potential for incentive compensation.
