Forbes is looking to hire a highly organized and exceptionally thorough temporary background checker to assist our editors. Candidates must have a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost integrity. Part-time / 25 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Perform background checks on a high volume of individuals by systematically checking names from a provided list.
- Utilize internal and external databases, public records, and other resources to verify information.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, red flags, or potential risks found during the background check process.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all checks performed and the findings for each individual.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and relevant legal regulations regarding data privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the background check process.
- Generate clear and concise reports summarizing the findings for each background check.
The ideal candidate
- The ability to notice minute discrepancies and verify information with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- The capacity to analyze information from various sources and draw logical conclusions.
- The ability to manage a high volume of tasks and maintain meticulous records.
- The ability to write clear and concise reports and communicate findings to the team.
- The ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the background check process.
- Comfortable using various databases, search engines, and software to perform research.
The hourly rate for this role is $35.00 - $50.00

In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
