Temporary Accreditation and State Authorization Coordinator
Compensation Range:
Hourly: $20.00 - $20.00Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Accreditation and State Authorization, the Accreditation and State Authorization Coordinator is responsible for collaboration across departments to ensure the University remains in compliance with accreditation standards and state regulations. The coordinator gathers inputs and evidence needed for accreditation and state authorization submissions and prepares materials for submission to external agencies.
The Accreditation and State Authorization Coordinator will initiate collaboration and consult with various departments, faculty, staff, and administrators to gather data, reports, documentation, and other information necessary for accreditation or state applications, renewals, reports, and authorizations. The Coordinator will support National University while working closely and collaboratively with administrative and academic departments to prepare accreditation and state materials and monitor ongoing requirements to complete materials for submission. They will also provide quality assurance and conduct audits to verify information is accurate, up-to-date, and timely, while working with appropriate parties to take corrective actions as needed.
Essential Functions:
- The Accreditation and State Authorization Coordinator will assist the colleges and University in maintaining compliance with programmatic and regional accrediting standards.
- Establishes timely and accurate applications, documents, and reports to meet state and accreditation requirements.
- Composes correspondences needed, both routine and for special circumstances, to comply with state and accreditation requirements.
- Prepares, analyzes, and audits data/reports to meet regulatory and accreditation obligations.
- Supports the Senior Compliance Specialist in the completion of state authorization applications and application renewals.
- Supports the Senior Compliance Specialist in the completion of state reporting and data submissions.
- Support campus operations to ensure processes and procedures comply with state regulatory and accreditation requirements

- Establishes and maintains excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes regarding accreditation and state authorization
- Maintains records of relevant data related to the organization’s accreditation and state regulatory approvals, authorizations, and renewal dates
- Inventory state approvals, out-of-state activities, triggers, and program approvals by state, program, school, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of higher education regulations, compliance, or in a corporate or governmental setting that required the interpretation and response to regulatory or other compliance/legal documents. Experience in higher education or with a government, regulatory agency, or related institution preferred.
Competencies/Technical/Functional Skills: Detail-oriented, highly organized individual with the ability to communicate in an effective and respectful manner with individuals throughout the University/System with differing levels of responsibility.
- Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Must have ability to multitask, manage competing demands and work effectively in an environment of changing deadlines and priorities. Operate under multiple deadlines, and work in a highly pressurized environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in cross-department collaborative teams and ability to synthesize complex and/or diverse information
- Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Demonstrable record of ethical behavior, integrity, initiative, and resilience
- Works with integrity and passion in support of organizational goals and values
- Evidence of being self-directed, ability to work under little supervision
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.
