Role Description

The Telecom Expense Management Lead position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the comprehensive financial operations lifecycle, with a primary focus on Purchase Order (PO) and Invoicing management, and governance over the NOC department and also with related Telecom Expense Management (TEM) functions. This role ensures financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across supplier and internal financial processes.

In this role, you'll:

  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Manage end-to-end financial relationships with critical and strategic vendors (e.g., Lumen, Zayo, Verizon), including overseeing invoice validation, auditing, and payment dispute resolution.
  • Oversee Contracting Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end contracting workflow, including renewals, terminations, and PO creation/management within SAP CLM and Docusign.
  • Lead Analyst Team: Lead a team of analysts responsible for invoice processing, PO management, and audit functions. Drive cost-optimization initiatives, such as identifying billing errors, managing invoice variances, and recovering overpayments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, and Network Acquisition to ensure accurate financial forecasting, budgeting (e.g., 7BI scope), and compliance with contractual terms.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Law or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 8 years of experience in telecommunications expense management, financial operations, or accounts payable/receivable.
  • Expertise in P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes, contract management systems (e.g., SAP CLM), and electronic signature platforms (e.g., Docusign).
  • Experience with vendor management, dispute resolution, and recovering cost savings.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Experience with network asset management, circuit inventory, and telecom billing structures (MRC/NRC/UBC).
  • Proven ability to optimize billing processes through automation and data-driven insights.
  • Experience at a major ISP or Tier 1/2 carrier managing complex enterprise agreements.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing offshore or hybrid teams

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $136,000 - $198,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
