Job Responsibilities:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
SKILL (Ability to do the job)
- Must have good mathematical and communication skills
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment
- Must have a good understanding of rigging, cranes, etc.
- Must have a general knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Must be able to pay good attention to detail
- Must have a basic knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of AUTOCAD
- Must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet customer requirements
- Must have basic knowledge or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must have general knowledge on electrical theory and troubleshooting
- Must have general mechanical knowledge
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Some of the physical demands for the position include being able to lift a weight of 40 pounds; frequent bending, stooping and stretching; being able to stand for prolonged periods of time; and ability to walk for prolonged periods of time.
EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED
Some of the equipment and tools used are a multi-meter, basic hand tools, punch tools, Oscilloscope, laptop/PC, AMP probe, Mega ohm meter, MIG & Stick Welder
KNOWLEDGE
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree from a technical college or minimum of three years on-the-job training with heavy industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity.
TECHNICAL TRAINING: General knowledge of industrial maintenance with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical, robotics, or controls application
OTHER: Journeyman Certification preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
WHAT TYPES? Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
HOW MUCH? Minimum of 4 years
WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR ABILITIES WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THE JOB?
- Motor Control, PLC, and Ladder Logic
- Basic Electrical Theory and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of electrical components
- Basic understanding of services and variable frequency drives
- Welding experience
- Applicable rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures.
- Robotic troubleshooting skills
- Robotic programming skills
- PLC troubleshooting skills
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Mathematical Skills (work well with probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations).
- Reasoning Ability (Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables).
