ON.energy is building the power infrastructure that makes the AI era possible. As AI demand surges past what the grid and traditional data centers can support, ON.energy provides a new class of power technology proven at gigawatt scale and trusted by the world’s leading cloud and AI companies. Our systems are already deployed across 2.5 GW of hyper-scale campuses, validated by top U.S. national labs, and certified for grid-safe operation by major utilities. With real products in the field, we’re scaling faster than the grid can, transforming power from a bottleneck into a competitive advantage for the companies building the future.

  • Create and manage technical document packages related to the product: Develop and maintain technical documentation including product manuals, technical specifications, installation guides, operating procedures, and maintenance documentation.
  • Standardize document templates, formatting, and terminology across products and projects along with the Technical Document Controller.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, English, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical writing within engineering, energy, infrastructure, or industrial environments.

  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with document control systems and version management practices.
  • Strong ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications, and system architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience producing structured technical documentation for complex technical systems.
Preferred Plus
  • Experience with documentation standards, quality systems, or regulated technical environments.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)

  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
