The Technical Training Advisor is a member of the Enterprise Technology Learning & Development team in the Enterprise Learning Experience department.

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and learner-centric learning experiences for developing technologists, enterprise-wide. Daily responsibilities include the design, curation, development, and implementation of on-demand e-learning and instructor-led training. This involves developing e-learning modules, providing graphic design support, creating additional learning resources, coordinating logistics for instructor-led classes, and administering learner engagement for the on-demand technical training platforms.

The ideal candidate will translate learning requirements to clear learning outcomes and produce simple and effective solutions that require skillful application of adult learning theory and rapid design and development methods. 

The Technical Training Advisor works closely with business partners, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to develop the strategy for courses while ensuring the content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Consultation:

  • Works with business partners, subject matter experts, and vendors to gather and validate content and other essential elements of learning solutions.
  • Conducts learning needs analysis, design, development, and implementation of training materials, programs and interventions.

Design and Development:

  • Applies advanced adult learning theories to design and develop practical, application-based learning.
  • Creates, updates, and maintains enterprise learning solutions, and all accompanying documentation and analytics, at all phases of their lifecycle.
  • Builds wireframes and uses rapid prototyping to emulate the end-to-end learning experience.
  • Develops instructional materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Develops interactive and engaging e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 Suite (i.e., Storyline, Rise, etc.).
  • Supplements eLearning modules with multimedia assets using tools such as Camtasia, Premiere Pro, Vyond, Photoshop, and similar.
  • Creates visually appealing designs in line with brand guidelines for a variety of media formats including online assets, business presentations, and print materials.
  • Ensures all learning materials are accessible (i.e., WCAG 2.1 Level A) and comply with SCORM publishing standards.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, including visual, oral, and written form, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations to all audiences, including business leaders.

Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Evaluates program effectiveness through feedback, assessments, performance, and engagement metrics.
  • Leverages learning platform analytics and insights to assess and report on engagement.
  • Continuously improves learning based on learner feedback and technological advancements.

Implementation & Project Management:

  • Manages several small to medium scale projects simultaneously and documents the progress of those projects, ensuring on-time completion of all deliverables.
  • Plans and executes learning logistics, including instructor-led classes and on-demand learning platform governance processes
  • Communicates project status and updates to project team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of instructional design of learning programs, including hands-on experience developing e-learning modules - for all levels of the organization – early career through executive leadership
  • At least 1 or more years of project management experience (AGILE methodology a plus).
  • Self-directed, can make progress with limited information or direction and can be agile and flexible.
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong relationship building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of human behavior, adult learning program delivery, organization development theory and practice and working knowledge of all facets of training assessment, design, delivery, implementation, and enforcement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of eLearning authoring tools (Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and Articulate 360) and SCORM publishing standards.
  • Strong graphic design and layout skills using design software.
  • Proficient with Articulate 360, Vyond, Wellsaid, and multi-media editing software, such as Premier Pro, Camtasia, and similar.
  • Knowledge of HTML, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platform (LXP), and Wrike project management software preferred.
  • Proficient with MS365 Office Suite, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Webex.
  • Travel approximately once per quarter or as needed.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 82,900 - 138,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
