We are currently seeking a technical trainer to join our growing training department. The Technical Trainer will be responsible for the delivery of online and in person training to a variety of audiences. This technical role will closely partner with instructional designers to develop the best training solutions for Datto’s global partner and employees. This role will be key to developing and maintaining Datto’s top level of customer focus by having a direct impact on our partners’ and employees’ experience.

 Primary Responsibilities:

• Partner with support, product, and leadership to deliver highly effective training programs 
• Deliver technical instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training to multiple audiences
• Identify and resolve systemic issues impacting support and partners that can be addressed by training 
• Partner with instructional designers to carry out training needs analysis and build technical training materials
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and learning outcomes
• Communicate effectively at all levels from engineer to partner to C-level executives
• Travel required 30% or less
• Projects and other related duties as may be assigned as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of technical training experience preferred
• Linux experience is a plus
• Networking technology experience a plus
• Professional demeanor
• Creativity
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and experience with presentation of technical training programs.
• Ability to speak clearly and comfortably in front of a room of people.
• Knowledge and experience with various training methods including: lecture, web and computer based training, on the job training (OJT), demonstration, etc.
• Experience with delivery of technical training programs
• Organization and communication skills to plan, coordinate and provide training.
