The position is a fully remote role in EST time zone.

How will you make an impact?

The Technical Support Specialist II provides expertise to support end users, channel partners, Customer Service and commercial teams for Thermo Fisher’s Water Analysis business primarily via telephone and email. Your technical knowledge of pH related measurements and applications of our products will serve critical markets such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, power generation and water treatment globally. What will you do?

  • Use your education, experience, and the comprehensive training you will receive on our products and systems to recommend, troubleshoot applications, and solve new problems every day!
  • Handle leads from the web and recommend the most cost effective products & solutions
  • Expand our internal and external Knowledgebase solutions library
  • Collect data and share current market and customer trends with our Marketing and R&D teams for next generation products and continual improvement
  • Liaise with Quality teams to quickly identify defects, resolve issues, and assist root cause investigations as needed
  • Use our Customer Allegiance program to improve our extraordinary support
  • Provide training, develop Application notes on relevant topics of interest, and update our Water Analysis product collateral and web content
  • Collaborate with Thermo Fisher colleagues around to world to maintain product quality and promote customer happiness

How will you get here?

  • BS/BA in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental, or related science
  • Minimum of 2 years technical or laboratory experience required. Wet chemistry / Water quality preferred
  • Problem solving, good listening skills, organization, time management
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment
