InterSystems supports customers as they upgrade their HealthShare applications. Our Upgrade Assistance Team is looking for experienced candidates who are self-motivated, creative, and energetic problem solvers to join the team supporting development and administration of the tools, systems, and environments used to upgrade HealthShare. Still in its early stages, this program provides a real opportunity to shape its success.
As a member of this team, you will develop your technical, professional, and personal skills in a highly collaborative environment. You will participate in all stages of the HealthShare upgrade lifecycle, develop and support both internally and externally facing plans and reports, and gain experience working with colleagues who plan, develop, document, support, and improve the upgrade of HealthShare and its multiple components.
Responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with the Service Executive managing the project. Be the process representative to the customers and, where necessary, the escalation point between the customer and the Upgrade Assistance Program (UAP) Team and other internal groups.
- Oversee and manage multiple, simultaneous upgrade projects, provide process guidance to the UAP team; mobilize internal and external resources as necessary to achieve positive results.
- Manage the processes within the project – including the definition and ongoing monitoring of the customer-specific Project Plans. Carry out the management and escalation of scope, risks, and issues.
- Define the project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with Service Executive and other UAP team members.
- Produce the Customer-specific Upgrade Project Plan/Task Tracker.
- Maintain meeting notes, issues, and required adhocs.
- Ensure completed fixes from past work are considered for each upgrade.
- Produce internal and external weekly summary reports.
- Ensure that the project team members are aware of and remain compliant with all the relevant procedures and policies.
- Recognize areas for internal improvement and collaborate on plans for implementing them.
Qualifications:
- Project Management experience delivering complex integrated healthcare solutions in a customer facing role
- Experience with InterSystems technology and healthcare systems highly desirable
- Knowledge of Health Information Exchange (HIE) standards and best practices
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting live systems.
- Able to evaluate and implement new PM tools.
- Strong communication skills are a must.
- Ability to solve difficult problems and develop creative solutions; ability to identify key issues/problems through analysis and questions and attack problems systematically; ability to see non-obvious relationships.
- Adapts approach to be effective working with different people; is comfortable interacting with people who are more senior or more experienced; is friendly, personable, and engaging.
- Committed to tasks while adhering to timeline; ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously without details falling through the cracks; has high standards for thoroughness, completeness, and accuracy.
- Figures things out independently in ambiguous or unstructured situations; runs with ideas/initiatives without needing direction or supervision; is comfortable with taking risks going into a novel situation; directly addresses or raises issues of concern.
Education and Training:
- University degree or 3+ years’ experience managing large, complex projects, preferably in healthcare IT.
- Technical knowledge in software and implementation processes
- Project Management qualification such as PMP or PMI desired
- Experience with one or more industry-standard Project Management software packages
