About Us

Foundry Robotics is building an AI-native robotics manufacturing company focused on deploying advanced assembly and production capability for leading robotics companies and national-security-critical hardware. Basically, we’re building robots that build robots.

We are reimagining manufacturing through advanced robotics. Our mission is to rebuild the American manufacturing industry as an AI-first, assembly-focused, dual-use contract manufacturer. We aim to empower manufacturers with intelligent, efficient, and adaptable robotic systems that redefine productivity and quality. As a founding member of our engineering team, you will have a direct and significant impact on our product, culture, and ultimate success.

The Role

As a Technical Sourcer, you’ll partner directly with the Head of Talent, Hiring Managers, and leadership to identify, engage, and bring in top-tier talent across engineering, manufacturing, and operations.

This role is critical to building the foundation of the company—owning the top of the funnel for some of the hardest-to-fill roles in robotics, AI, and manufacturing. We’re building a high-caliber technical team in a highly competitive market, and you’ll be responsible for finding and engaging exceptional builders—often before they’re actively looking.

This is not a resume-pushing role. It’s about taste, curiosity, and persistence—building real relationships with candidates who want to work on real-world systems in a 0→1 environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own outbound sourcing across some of the most challenging technical roles in the industry, including Software Engineers, Robotics Engineers. Robotics Research, Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing Process Engineers, and ML Engineers.

  • Identify and engage high-signal candidates across robotics, AI/ML, manufacturing, and hardware systems using LinkedIn, GitHub, research labs, and technical communities.

  • Write thoughtful, highly personalized outreach that reflects Foundry’s mission—rebuilding manufacturing through AI-first robotic assembly systems.

  • Partner closely with the Head of Talent, hiring managers, and technical leaders to define what “exceptional” looks like across each role.

  • Build pipelines of passive candidates for foundational roles that span software, hardware, robotics, and production systems.

  • Experiment continuously with sourcing strategies, messaging, and channels to improve signal and response rates.

  • Track and optimize funnel metrics (reply rate, pass-through, time to first conversation) and iterate quickly.

  • Build long-term relationships with top talent—especially those not actively looking today but aligned with Foundry’s mission.

  • Act as an early ambassador of the company, helping candidates understand the opportunity to build real-world robotic systems deployed in production environments.

What We're Looking For

  • You have 3–6+ years of technical sourcing experience (startup experience a must)

  • Maintain strong recruiting hygiene by accurately documenting all sourcing and recruiting activity in the ATS (Ashby).

  • You enjoy the puzzle of finding people others can’t.

  • You care about quality over volume and hate spammy outreach.

  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and like building from scratch.

  • Consistent flow of high-quality technical candidates.

  • Strong reply rates driven by thoughtful outreach.

  • You operate with urgency and take ownership.

  • Bias to action.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience sourcing with JuiceBox or Noon AI.

Why Join Us?

This is one of the only places where world-class manufacturing operators, mechanical engineers, robotics researchers, and software engineers sit in the same room — building production systems together.

We are committed to being deeply embedded in the U.S. industrial base. Our focus is simple: build adaptive robotic assembly systems that make American manufacturing scalable, resilient, and competitive again.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
