Olo is a leading SaaS platform accelerating digital transformation in the restaurant industry, by helping customers deliver more personalized and profitable guest experiences. As a result, our digital ordering, payment, and guest engagement solutions enable our brands to do more with less and making every guest feel like a regular.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Technical Sourcer to join our Talent Acquisition team and play a crucial role in growing our Engineering and Development teams in the UK. This position will be fundamental in supporting Olo’s continued growth and expansion in the region by both identifying top technical talent and ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

As Technical Sourcer, you will be responsible for proactively identifying and engaging a world-class group of engineers and technical professionals who will contribute to Olo's success. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, resourceful, and thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will focus on the top-of-funnel activities, employing innovative sourcing strategies to build robust talent pipelines, and you will be responsible for the scheduling and coordination of interviews with UK candidates. You will also network online and offline within the UK tech community to promote the Olo brand and attract exceptional professionals.

This is a full-time position to work remotely within the UK. This role will be primarily focused on building our presence and teams in the UK.

You will be contracted to Olo through Deel, our Employer of Record. An Employer of Record (EOR) is an organization hired by companies to handle the legal and administrative responsibilities of employing staff, often in countries where the company might not have a local presence.  Here’s an easy way to think of it: You work for Olo in a practical sense, completing your assigned role. The EOR is your formal employer, meaning the EOR takes care of all the administrative and legal responsibilities for your employment. In line with this arrangement, you maintain your day-to-day relationship with Olo, and Deel will be your point of contact for any job-related matters of your engagement. Moreover, you’ll retain all the employment rights you typically have under local employment law when you’re hired through an EOR, and you will be eligible for private healthcare coverage in addition to being able to participate in all statutorily required benefits and pension programs.

What You'll Do

  • Employ creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage top technical talent for roles across Engineering and Development.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and team leads to understand their specific technical requirements and build effective sourcing strategies.
  • Proactively source potential candidates on relevant UK-centric and international platforms.
  • Continuously build and maintain active talent pipelines for key technical roles within the UK.
  • Conduct initial outreach and engagement with passive candidates through personalised and compelling communications.
  • Partner with Olo’s Recruiters and hiring managers to provide insights on the UK technical talent market.
  • Actively strive to increase diversity within our talent pipelines through targeted sourcing and engagement with relevant UK diversity organisations in tech.
  • Track and maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Lever.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and trends within the UK tech landscape.
  • Use data and analytics to track sourcing effectiveness and identify areas for improvement in our strategies.
  • Schedule interviews (phone screens, video calls) between candidates and the hiring team in a timely and efficient manner, managing calendar availability across multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate candidate communication regarding interview logistics and provide necessary information, and ensure a positive and professional experience for candidates throughout the interview process.

What We'll Expect From You

  • 2+ years of experience proactively sourcing technical talent, ideally within an in-house environment focused on the UK market.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and understand their talent needs.
  • Experience with various sourcing techniques, including social media recruiting, Boolean searching, and leveraging niche platforms relevant to the UK tech scene.
  • A solid understanding of technical roles and the ability to effectively communicate technical job requirements to potential candidates.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), ideally Lever, and other relevant recruitment technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging outreach messages.
  • A strong drive for continuous learning and improvement in sourcing methodologies.
  • A good understanding of UK employment law and best practices related to recruitment.
  • Legally able to work in the UK.
