At Brain Co., we focus on applying frontier AI to real institutional challenges, working alongside governments, healthcare systems, and critical industries to modernize how essential services operate.

We are looking for leaders who want to help bring new technology into institutions that impact millions of people.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Technical Sourcer to help build the foundation of our engineering recruiting engine at Brain Co. You’ll partner directly with engineering leadership to identify, engage, and inspire world-class engineers to join our team. This isn’t a coordination role — you’ll own pipeline creation for some of the most competitive talent pools in the world (AI/ML, Product, Platform).

Your work will be critical to scaling Brain Co.’s engineering team, ensuring we can keep up with demand from Fortune 50 companies and government systems around the globe. You’ll be responsible for mapping talent markets, creating targeted outreach strategies, and building the kind of candidate experience that gets top engineers excited to work with us.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-scaling AI startup at Series A and directly shape the caliber of our technical team.

You Might Thrive in This Role If You:
  • Have 1–3+ years of sourcing experience (agency or in-house) with a focus on engineering or technical talent.

  • Are energized by the hunt — you love researching markets, finding hidden talent, and cracking into competitive pipelines.

  • Know how to write compelling outreach that gets responses from engineers drowning in recruiter messages.

  • Are highly organized and can juggle multiple searches without dropping details.

  • Care about candidate experience and see sourcing as the start of the relationship, not just a numbers game.

  • Thrive in ambiguity — you don’t wait for perfect direction, you iterate and figure it out.

  • Want to grow into a full-cycle recruiter role as Brain Co.’s team expands.

  • Believe in Brain Co.’s mission to bring applied AI into the real world and want to help us hire the people who will make that possible.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision (100% Coverage)

  • Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave

  • 401(k)

  • Daily Lunches

  • Commuter Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
