The Technical Sales Representative, Southern Alberta will be responsible for all facets of day-to-day sales of Company products in the assigned region. You will have the opportunity to implement sales strategies and achieve personal and group sales objectives, while striving for customer satisfaction.

This position is based out of a home office located in Calgary Alberta, with frequent travel within the assigned region.

ln addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:

Sales Activities

  • Manages and grows sales within assigned territory while adhering to Company pricing guidelines.
  • Communicates the Company’s value proposition and solution-selling effectively to engineers, contractors, and building owners
  • Maintains strong relationships with key sales channel partners, including wholesalers, mechanical contractors, repair shops, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s)
  • and communicating the Armstrong value proposition to engineers, contractors and owners.
  • Assists in establishing sales goals and objectives for the team.
  • Supports special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
  • Prepares bi-weekly market activity reports and maintain up-to-date Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Customer Support & Relationship Management

  • Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Oversees customer contracts and ensures accurate contract verification and order processing.
  • Generates and analyzes sales reports on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis as required by management.
  • Maintains detailed records on customers, competitors, and market trends while actively participating in sales planning sessions.
  • Collaborates with marketing teams to provide feedback on campaigns and initiatives.
  • Gathers and analyzes customer feedback to identify opportunities for market share growth.

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • University Engineering or College technical degree preferred from a Mechanical Engineering program.
  • Minimum 5 years’ direct sales experience in a relevant industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Expertise in HVAC products and systems, including experience with HVAC product selection software
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Self-motivated, results-driven approach with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and provide strategic recommendations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Anility to navigate and manage relationships within centralized and matrix organizational structures
