Job Description

Syntegon is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to lead business development and operational support for our product line. In this high-impact role, you’ll identify new market opportunities, manage client relationships, and drive revenue growth—while supporting production scheduling and process optimization.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to uncover new clients, markets, and partnerships.

  • Proactively prospect through cold calls, networking, industry events, and marketing efforts.

  • Build and maintain strong customer connections; identify upsell opportunities.

  • Design and implement sales plans targeting new customer segments.

  • Support sales efforts by reviewing specifications, offering technical guidance, and developing presentations.

  •  Close profitable contracts and manage pricing strategies.

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or equivalent technical experience.

  • 5+ years' technical experience in packaging equipment.

  • 5+ years in sales/marketing/project management roles of capital equipment with a proven track record.

  • 5+ years' experience negotiating contracts and agreements to achieve favorable terms.  Must have an understanding of contract law, terms and conditions of sales.

  • Ability to manage multiple sales initiatives and ensure timely completion.

  • Knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) also SAP for quotations and expenses as well as sales contact management database software (CRM).
  • Willing and able to travel up to 75%, must hold a valid driver's license and passport.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AUTOCAD (basic floor plan creation).

  • Understanding of leasing/financing for industrial equipment.

  • Understanding of flexible films or materials for use in packaging

 

Additional Information

The expected compensation range for this position is between $98,000 to 125,000 annually.

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
