Lead full-cycle technical and senior/executive searches across engineering, product, and data. Build sourced pipelines, partner with hiring managers on intake and scorecards, design interview loops, leverage AI and automation (Claude, Gemini, Zapier, Greenhouse) to scale recruiting, and own metrics (time-to-fill, source-of-hire, pass-through, offer acceptance). Start as an individual contributor with requisition ownership and grow the function into a team.

Bankrate is where Americans go to get the best price on life's most important financial decisions. By combining proprietary data, advanced technology, and deep market coverage, Bankrate helps consumers compare options and make confident financial choices across mortgages, credit cards, savings, and more. Founded by a journalist, Bankrate remains dedicated to its founding mission of transparency, honest information, and real competition, helping to make the American dream more affordable for everyone.

You will run search end to end across two tracks, engineering, product, and data on one side, and senior and executive leadership roles on the other. Both demand the same things: real credibility with sophisticated hiring managers, and the judgment to know when a pipeline is genuinely strong versus merely full.

This role opens as an individual contributor carrying a full requisition load. As the function scales, it is the seat we expect to build a team around.

What You’ll Do:

  • Full-cycle search: Own technical and senior-level requisitions from intake through signed offer. You run the process, you set the pace, and you are accountable for the outcome.
  • Pipeline and sourcing: Build durable talent pipelines that reduce our dependence on external agencies. Sourced candidates, not just applicants.
  • Hiring manager partnership: Lead sharp intake conversations, build structured scorecards, and design interview loops that actually predict performance. Push back when a role is not clearly defined.
  • AI-enabled recruiting operations: Use AI as a daily instrument, not an experiment. Build and improve the automation layer that makes screening, scheduling, and pipeline reporting faster, and bring ideas for what we should build next.
  • Metrics and reporting: Own the numbers on your requisitions. Time to fill, source of hire, pass-through rates, and offer accept, reported clearly enough to drive decisions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Full-cycle technical recruiting experience: You have filled engineering, product, and data roles and can hold your own in a technical conversation with a CTO or engineering leader.
  • Senior and executive search experience: You have run director-level and above searches with the polish and discretion those processes demand.
  • Range: You can move between a backend engineer requisition and a senior finance leader search in the same week without dropping either.
  • Greenhouse fluency: Hands-on, configuration-level familiarity, not just candidate entry.
  • Active AI practitioner: You use tools like Claude and Gemini in your real workflow and can walk us through specific examples of how they changed your output.
  • Familiarity with Zapier or similar automation tooling.
  • Metrics-driven operating style: You already run your desk on data and you can defend your numbers.

Nice to Have:

  • Financial services or fintech recruiting experience.
  • Workday exposure.
  • A mix of agency and in-house background.
  • Experience building recruiting automations or internal tools.

Compensation:

Total Cash Compensation Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year

*New York City Total Cash Compensation Range: $150,000 - $190,000 per year

This role is eligible for a target bonus, which is included in the Total Cash Compensation Range above. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Life Insurance
  • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Holiday Pay
  • 401(k) with match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential.  That’s why we offer a generous and flexible PTO policy.  Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO for a full calendar year annually, with an increase to 25 days after five years of service.

Who We Are:

Bankrate is where Americans go to get the best price on life's most important financial decisions. By combining proprietary data, advanced technology, and deep market coverage, Bankrate helps consumers compare options and make confident financial choices across mortgages, credit cards, savings, and more. As a rate provider to the Federal Reserve and the benchmark relied upon by major publishers and policymakers nationwide, Bankrate's rate data is the national standard. This commitment to precision is reflected across all its products. In mortgages, proprietary auction technology puts lenders in real-time competition on price alone, consistently delivering rates in the lowest 10% in the country. For deposits, the platform features exclusively top-tier rates in the top 10% nationally, while its credit card coverage encompasses more than 90% of the market by volume. Founded by a journalist, Bankrate remains dedicated to its founding mission of transparency, honest information, and real competition — helping to make the American dream more affordable for everyone.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
