As the Technical Recruiter at Tive, you will own the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle—from proactive sourcing and candidate engagement to offer negotiation and onboarding. Partnering closely with hiring managers as a data-driven trusted advisor, you will design effective hiring strategies, optimize recruiting analytics, and continuously refine workflows to build strong pipelines across fast-paced startup, SaaS, and hardware environments.

About the role:

  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing through close, including proactive outreach, candidate screening, interview management, offer negotiation, and acceptance.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and leaders to define hiring strategies, role requirements, interview processes, and the profile of exceptional talent.
  • Own and maintain Tive’s headcount plan, partnering with People, Finance, and business leaders to track hiring priorities, approvals, changes, and progress against plan.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies and build proactive talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles across highly competitive markets.
  • Drive hiring processes from kickoff through close, maintaining high hiring standards and holding hiring teams accountable for timely feedback, strong assessment, and clear decisions.
  • Track recruiting metrics and use the data to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Help scale and continuously improve Tive’s recruiting processes, tools, reporting, and operating rhythms as the company grows.
  • Represent Tive at recruiting and industry events, universities, and networking opportunities, and partner with the People team on strategies that strengthen Tive’s employer brand and visibility with top talent.
  • Act as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers and leaders, using market insight, data, and strong judgment to challenge assumptions, raise the hiring bar, and drive better talent decisions.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting for technical roles in high-growth startup or SaaS and hardware environments.
  • Proven track record of hiring high-caliber talent across multiple functions, regions, and seniority levels.
  • Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter and other outbound channels.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence hiring decisions with data.
  • Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple job requirements, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with modern ATS platforms (Rippling preferred).

Compensation:

$70,000-$90,000 base salary.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
