Department Overview
The Kodiak platform is a leading push-to-talk (PTT) solution that enables mission-critical communications over cellular networks. It provides a secure, reliable, and highly scalable platform for enterprises and public safety organizations to connect their teams instantly. . The solution is deployed on a mobile operator's network, and this project involves the technical implementation and integration to ensure seamless operation for the end user.
Job Description

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end technical delivery of a Kodiak software solution for a major mobile operator in Saudi Arabia through a vendor. This is a critical role responsible for managing all phases of the project, including design, implementation, and testing, to ensure the successful deployment of a robust and scalable solution that meets the client's specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in telecommunications or enterprise software, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring all project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, internal engineering teams, and other stakeholders. Effectively communicate project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the project. This includes reviewing solution designs, architecture, and technical specifications to ensure they align with the client’s needs and Motorola Solutions’ standards.
  • Implementation Management: Coordinate and manage the activities of engineering, deployment, and QA teams. Ensure the implementation phase is executed efficiently, addressing any technical challenges that arise.
  • Testing and QA: Oversee the planning and execution of comprehensive testing phases, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate the solution's performance, functionality, and reliability.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans to minimize impact on project timelines and budget.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, and status reports.

Basic Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on software or telecommunications projects. Experience with Motorola Solutions' Kodiak platform or a similar mission-critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) solution is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLCs), system integration, and testing methodologies. Familiarity with mobile telecommunications networks (e.g., LTE, 5G) and enterprise software architecture is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or a similar project management certification is required.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is essential and Arabic is ideal for effective stakeholder communication.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and logistical challenges.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Cultural Awareness: Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is a plus.
