About Us

Reframe Systems is on a mission to build fast, cost-efficient, and climate-resilient homes for everyone. Through our modular building platform and highly automated production process, we reduce costs, shorten delivery times, and lower embodied carbon for housing projects of all sizes—from single-family homes to large multifamily developments. Our first software-driven factory in the greater Boston area (Andover, MA) is just the beginning of our national expansion. Backed by leading venture capital firms in the industrial and construction sectors, we are transforming how homes are built.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Program Manager to shape the future of our software-defined manufacturing systems. In this role, you’ll collaborate with engineering, operations, and design teams to define product requirements, streamline processes, and drive innovation at the intersection of software, robotics, and manufacturing. You will be responsible for creating and managing development roadmaps, ensuring solutions meet internal user needs, and scaling effectively to support next-generation building methods.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of programs that combine software-defined manufacturing and robotics, aligning with business objectives and timelines.

  • Develop and maintain program plans—including schedules, risk mitigation strategies, and communication plans—while coordinating resources across engineering, design, manufacturing, and operations.

  • Collaborate closely with product management to translate business requirements into actionable engineering deliverables, balancing technical feasibility with strategic priorities.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce risks through regular reviews, retrospectives, and data-driven insights.

  • Facilitate clear communication with leadership, technical teams, and external partners to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned on program goals.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and forward-thinking solutions that push the boundaries of modern construction practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven (3+ year) experience overseeing software development, robotics, or manufacturing initiatives from conception to delivery.

  • Solid understanding of software development processes, automation systems, and robotics technologies.

  • Track record of managing large-scale programs across engineering, design, and operations, with an ability to align diverse teams.

  • Familiarity with sprint planning, backlogs, and program increments; adept at managing multiple concurrent projects.

  • Skilled at translating technical challenges into business risks and opportunities, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus

  • Experience with factory automation, IoT, and industrialized construction processes.

  • Exposure to industrial robotics, machine learning, and AI-driven automation in manufacturing.

  • Understanding of smart factories, digital twins, and other advanced manufacturing technologies.

  • Prior work in construction technology or manufacturing environments.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
