Remote contract Technical Program Manager to own program delivery for an AI/LLM platform: run workflows, review Python/JS/SQL code, lead single-tenant to multi-tenant migration, formalize release-gating QA from informal tests, and guide architecture and multi-provider LLM integrations (RAG, agentic workflows).

Hiring a remote contract Technical Program Manager for a fast-moving AI platform client sitting at the intersection of architecture, AI and professional workflow design. In-development project is backed by principals with serious pedigree in global architecture and design.

This isn't a process-only PM role - the platform's AI/LLM integration is already production-grade. What's needed is program ownership — someone who can run the workflow, review code and own the move from single-tenant to multi-tenant architecture. Seeking CT and ET zone-based candidates - client is in New York City.

You'll bring to the role:
· 5+ years of technical PM/PgM experience on fast-moving software builds
· Real fluency reading code (Python/JS/SQL) and holding your own in architecture conversations
· Comfort turning an informal test suite into a real, release-gating QA process
· Working knowledge of modern AI/LLM app architecture (multi-provider integration, agentic workflows, RAG)

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
