The Role
We’re seeking a Technical Program Manager who is excited to be at the center of building the Embodied AI to power a ‘new wave’ of robots that act with human-level intelligence. This is an opportunity to partner with Aaron Saunders, VP of Hardware Engineering, to build a new lab in Cambridge, MA.
About You
In order to set you up for success as a Technical Program Manager at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experienced at leading complex technical programs and have 6+ years of experience as a technical program manager, with a strong track record of successful program delivery.
- Proven ability to navigate fast-paced, ever-evolving environments, demonstrating resourcefulness and creativity in solving complex challenges and implementing scalable solutions.
- Prior experience working with rapid hardware development and testing.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, workflows, and governance models to enhance efficiency within research teams.
- Experience working with senior leadership, confidently communicating challenges and risks while proposing new solutions.
In addition, the following would be an advantage:
- Prior experience with launching a new team or site.
- Prior experience in an environment where hardware and software are deeply intertwined.
- Prior experience managing collaborations with external partners.
- Prior experience working with globally distributed teams.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $183,000 USD - 271,000 USD + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
