We are looking for a new Technical Product Manager to join our growing Product Team. This individual will report into our Product Management Team Lead and drives the strategy, development, and delivery of customer-facing digital products for SupplyHouse. By connecting business needs to technical implementation, this role directly affects how plumbing, heating, and HVAC professionals find, assess, and purchase the supplies they need, ensuring every product initiative delivers a faster, more reliable, and more intuitive experience for our customers. If you have strong technical expertise, a strategic vision, and a passion for collaborating with cross-functional teams to champion customer-centric solutions, we’d love to hear from you! 

This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This position requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY 6 times per year for internal meetings and team building activities. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond these visits – our doors are always open.

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with time zone flexibility

Base Salary: $98,719 - $123,399 USD per year

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive user and market research to guide product strategy, translating insights into features and actionable roadmaps
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on business impact, technical complexity, and resource availability, helping prioritize work against larger project and business goals
  • Drive the strategy, discovery, and implementation of initiatives involving complex system integrations, improvements, and customer-facing features
  • Manages the site search strategy, including relevance tuning, ranking signal prioritization, synonym and query understanding, faceted navigation, autocomplete, and zero-results recovery
  • Manages category navigation and browse taxonomy to ensure the information architecture facilitates easy customer navigation and effective search engine discovery across thousands of product SKUs
  • Lead the CX platform strategy by assessing, choosing, and refining the technology stack that supports acquisition, personalization, analytics integrations, and CRM data flows
  • Own the product backlog: create detailed, technically sound user stories, acceptance criteria, and  technical documentation within JIRA and Confluence
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews, ensuring the team delivers high-quality solutions on time
  • Actively manage timelines and deliverables, focusing on interactions within and across departments; collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
  • Collaborate closely with developers to define technical requirements, ensuring feasibility and alignment with business objectives
  • Act as a translator between business and technical stakeholders, clarifying business needs while advocating for technical best practices
  • Lead UAT planning and execution to ensure product quality across projects and releases
  • Support end-to-end testing, QA, and validation for technical implementations and system integrations
  • Establish metrics for key projects and ensure monitoring plans support business goals; analyze product performance and resolve technical issues post-launch
  • Effectively communicate complex insights and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Identify and communicate problems affecting the team, and proactively propose and implement solutions

Requirements: 

  • Bachelors Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years in a product or technical role focused on software development and system integrations
  • Demonstrated Agile development mindset with hands-on expertise in JIRA, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. 
  • A track record of independently leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, including initiatives that crossed both marketing and engineering teams
  • Hands-on experience with on-site search or discovery product ownership, including relevance tuning, faceted navigation, or search quality analytics
  • Understanding of full-stack development technologies, including React and Java (Spring Boot), and their associated frameworks.
  • Cloud deployment experience with one or more major platforms: Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
  • Ability to work on assignments of diverse and complex scope, identifying solutions to unfamiliar problems with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated good judgment in resolving escalated and complex issues.
  • Established effective working relationships with senior leadership both internally and externally.
  • Strong data fluency, with the ability to turn analytics (e.g, Amplitude), search behavioral data, and A/B test results into roadmap decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience specifically within an eCommerce setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as WMS, ERP, CRM, or similar platforms, and experience integrating these systems
  • Certified CSPO, SAFe, PMP, or other relevant product/technical certifications
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, Azure Fundamentals)
  • Experience with additional full-stack technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript, Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar
