The Technical Product Manager will oversee the product lifecycle for Data Platforms and MLOps, coordinating with multiple teams to improve product strategies, define technical requirements, and drive effective communication and iteration based on user feedback.

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our Data Platform & MLOps organization. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle — from ideation and roadmap definition through development, launch, and iteration — for our Data Platform, MLOps, and Observability products.
You will collaborate with cross-functional partners including Data Science, Business Analytics, Product, and SIG to ensure our data ecosystem drives measurable impact and empowers innovation across WHOOP. You’ll focus on defining what and why to build, guiding engineering teams on how to deliver solutions that enable scale, reliability, and insight generation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Internal Tooling and Data Platforms lifecycle — help execute strategy, follow roadmap for Data Platform, MLOps, and Observability initiatives
- Gather and prioritize input from users, stakeholders, and data-driven insights to identify the most impactful project features
- Translate business and stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements, success metrics, and engineering-ready specifications
- Partner closely with Data Platform and MLOps teams to design and deliver feasible, high-quality technical solutions that meet strategic objectives
- Work cross-functionally with Business Analytics, SIG, Data Science, and additional stakeholders to ensure the data platform empowers efficient experimentation, deployment, and observability
- Drive clarity and alignment across technical and business stakeholders by maintaining transparent communication and shared understanding of priorities
- Measure and iterate — define KPIs and feedback loops to assess product performance, user adoption, and impact
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that tools, processes, and systems evolve with WHOOP’s growth
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Program Manager, or equivalent in data, software engineering, or technology-driven organizations
- Proven experience owning product strategy and roadmaps for technical systems such as data platforms, ML pipelines, or infrastructure products
- Strong technical acumen in data platform technologies, MLOps frameworks, and observability systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical needs into clear, actionable product requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — comfortable working across engineering, data science, product, and analytics teams
- Experience working in agile or hybrid environments using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Atlas
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced workflows that improve productivity, automation, and data quality across engineering and data teams
- A passion for building scalable, data-driven systems that empower teams and accelerate decision-making at scale

At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company’s long-term growth and success.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $168,000 Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package..
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
