The Role:
Role is off shift (2nd or 3rd shift) and there is expected overtime, extended hours and weekends.
As a Technical Operations Specialist (TOS), you will be the "hands-on" maintenance support for both mechanical and electrical responsibilities to assure the optimization of all production equipment. You will support production in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and problem solving manufacturing process equipment. You must be able to function in a manufacturing maintenance team culture where lean manufacturing principles are highly integrated.
What You'll Do:
The primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:
• Perform assigned electrical / mechanical work such as automated equipment and robots
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities per schedule
• Operate industrial mobile equipment
• As a part of the TOS team, you will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, documenting and execution of all maintenance activities.
• Conduct technical training to maintain the proficiency of the workforce and peers
• Support all production operators, systems and tools which enable the production organization to achieve all throughput and uptime targets
• Support global manufacturing systems compliance, business plan deployment, and global best practices
• Participate and lead lean initiatives, such as continuous improvement events, identifying and eliminating all types of waste
• Maintain knowledge of all safety devices, procedures, the company, OSHA and MIOSHA regulatory requirements

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) :
- 3+ years experience in maintenance or electrical focused work
- Must be able to work off shift (2nd or 3rd shift)
- Technical degree / Four Year Apprenticeship required or one of the following:
- Electrical Journeyman's license
- Mechanical Journeyman's license
- Mechatronics technician certification
- Familiarity with high volume manufacturing processes
- General knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to include basic electricity and electronics, controls and instrumentation, programmable logic control (PLC), robotics, fluid power and pneumatics
- Working knowledge of general maintenance principles: blueprint reading/schematics
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5+ years in maintenance or electrical focused work
- Multi-skilled with experience in electrical, mechanical, and automation
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC 5000 and Siemens HMI
- Ability to read PLC programs
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computer software as it pertains to maintenance needs
- Fanuc robotics programming and maintenance
- Hands-on experience in welding: MIG, TIG, brazing, ARC
