RoleAs our Technical Marketing Manager, Crypto/Blockchain, you'll be the strategic force multiplying our cryptography and blockchain engineering practice. You'll partner directly with our engineering directors to transform complex security work into compelling narratives that resonate across the Web3 ecosystem.
You'll own the full marketing lifecycle for our blockchain and cryptography service lines. This means developing demand generation programs that drive measurable pipeline and revenue, building authentic relationships with projects and influencers in the space, and creating content that demonstrates both technical depth and market understanding. You'll be equally comfortable crafting a technical case study, analyzing campaign ROI, launching a social media strategy on X and Bluesky, or building a landing page in Claude Code.
This role requires someone who genuinely lives in the crypto ecosystem. You're already active on X and Telegram, you know the key players and what makes this community tick, and you understand the difference between post-quantum cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs. You'll bring both marketing sophistication and technical literacy to ensure our messaging cuts through the noise.
What You'll Achieve- Strategic Partnership: Partner with Cryptography and Blockchain Engineering Directors to develop integrated marketing programs spanning awareness, consideration, conversion, and advocacy.
- Demand Generation: Design and execute multi-channel campaigns including social media (X, LinkedIn, Bluesky), email marketing, webinars, and industry conferences that drive measurable pipeline and revenue growth.
- Technical Content Creation: Create and manage content that showcases Trail of Bits' technical expertise, including case studies, blog posts, and technical documentation that resonates with technical and business audiences.
- Community Building: Build and nurture strategic partnerships with blockchain projects, industry influencers, and key opinion leaders to amplify Trail of Bits' presence in the Web3 ecosystem.
- Sales Enablement: Provide sales support including collateral development, competitive intelligence, and prospect research to accelerate deal cycles.
- Performance Analytics: Establish analytics frameworks to measure program performance, ROI, and impact on pipeline and revenue, using data to continuously optimize campaigns.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within blockchain and cryptography sectors to inform strategic positioning.
- Industry Representation: Represent Trail of Bits at industry events and in key community forums, building relationships and establishing thought leadership.
- Demand Generation Excellence: Proven track record executing programs that demonstrably increased pipeline and revenue, preferably at a blockchain, cryptography, or security company.
- Technical Writing: Strong writing and editing capabilities for highly technical content including blogs, case studies, and documentation that resonate with both technical and business audiences.
- Blockchain & Crypto Expertise: Deep understanding of blockchain technology, Web3 ecosystem, and cryptography fundamentals with active engagement on X and Telegram
- Community Fluency: Experience with the crypto/blockchain market, including an understanding of community dynamics, key players, and what makes this audience unique
- Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to analyze marketing program performance and optimize based on insights, with comfort using analytics to measure ROI.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to create landing pages in Claude Code and work with GitHub pull requests.
- Social Media & Community Building: Experience managing campaigns and building online community presence across platforms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfort working with technical teams and translating complex security concepts for diverse audiences.
Reporting Manager: Thereasa Roy
The base salary for this full-time position ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 excluding benefits and potential bonuses. Various factors influence our salary ranges, including the specific role, level of seniority, geographic location, and the nature of the employment contract. An individual's specific work location, unique skills, experience, and relevant educational background will determine the final offer within this range. The presented salary range encompasses the starting salaries for all U.S. locations.
