About Akuity

With the move to the cloud Kubernetes has become widely adopted by DevOps and Platform Engineering teams, but it has also added complexity. While scaling Kubernetes at Intuit, the Akuity founders started building Argo CD in order to streamline the adoption of Kubernetes. Argo CD helps developers own, understand and deploy their K8s deployments via GitOps.

Today, Argo CD is the third most popular project in the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) and is used by 70% of companies who are using Kubernetes in production. The list of Argo CD users includes companies like Intuit, BlackRock, Tesla, Major League Baseball, Peloton, and many more.

The team founded Akuity in 2021 to enable enterprises to ship software faster and more reliably with modern GitOps best practices. The Akuity Platform enables teams to manage the development and deployment across hundreds – if not thousands – of Kubernetes clusters from a single control plane. Trusted by top companies around the globe, the Akuity Platform provides the only end-to-end GitOps platform for the enterprises.

Our mission is to simplify the software delivery process so that DevOps and Platform Engineering teams can move fast, and deploy code effortlessly without the fear of breaking things.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Technical Marketer to shape how developers discover, understand, and adopt the Akuity Platform and Argo CD.

In this role, you’ll serve as a bridge between our engineering team and our community, turning complex technical concepts into clear, compelling content. You’ll own the creation of documentation, SDKs, tutorials, and technical blogs that support every stage of the developer journey. You’ll also represent Akuity in the community through events, forums, and conferences, acting as both educator and advocate.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to ensure our messaging resonates with technical users, while bringing back insights from the field to influence roadmap and strategy. If you’re passionate about developer tools, open source, and simplifying the complex, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, SDKs, tutorials, and sample code to support our developer community.
  • Engage with the worldwide developer community through online forums, Discord, GitHub, hackathons, and technical events to provide guidance and gather feedback.
  • Create and deliver high-quality technical content that can be used in workshops, demos, online sites, and presentations to captivate and educate developers.
  • Represent Akuity at conferences, meetups, and community calls, fostering relationships with contributors and adopters.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Engineering to understand feature adoption drivers and provide feedback from the field.
What We Look For

Must Have

  • 3-5 years of technical marketing experience.
  • Experience working in B2B SaaS startups (Seed to Series C).
  • Prior experience creating SDKs, sample code, or developer documentation.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and open-source ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to develop technical content and ability to engage technical audiences through events, webinars, workshops.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Argo CD & Kargo.
