Our Flagship Group is an elite product and services division focused on our highest-value clients—delivering high-impact solutions at startup speed. We’re now seeking a Technical Lead Manager to lead select engineering efforts within this group to support various product lines: balancing hands-on development, architecture, and cross-functional leadership.
The Role
As the TLM for the Flagship Group, you’ll serve as both a technical lead and an engineering manager. You will design and develop scalable client-facing solutions for our top customers while also guiding a small team of engineers.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys solving novel product and platform challenges, and can balance technical depth with execution leadership. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and service leads to deliver high-visibility implementations that push the boundaries of our core platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, architecture, and execution for Flagship products and integrations.
- Write high-quality, production-level code while setting the standard for engineering excellence. This is a hands-on role.
- Mentor and manage a small team of engineers (1–3 reports), providing technical stewardship and mentorship.
- Serve as the go-to technical voice within your pod—driving feasibility, velocity, and innovation across projects.
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (PM, Design, Client Services, and QA) to shape project scope and ensure delivery.
- Contribute to platform-level improvements and reusable component development stemming from bespoke client work.
- Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks, ensure code quality, and maintain scalable architecture across unique implementations.
- Represent engineering in Flagship client interactions when technical depth is required.
Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of hands-on software development experience, including experience building web applications and APIs (React, Next.js, Node.js preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or engineering management, ideally in a hybrid IC/lead role.
- Track record of delivering complex software solutions in startup or fast-paced SaaS environments.
- Strong architectural thinking and experience guiding high-impact technical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in cross-functional and client-facing contexts.
- Comfortable working across the stack (frontend, backend, infrastructure) with an eye toward performance and scalability.
- Strong project ownership mindset; you take initiative and follow through with execution.
Bonus Points
- Experience with headless CMS platforms, real estate data integrations (e.g., IDX), or marketing technology.
- Familiarity with serverless architecture.
- Prior experience interfacing with enterprise clients or delivering solutions within a product ecosystem.
- Contributions to shared component libraries or internal platforms.
Why Join the Flagship Group
- Be at the forefront of innovation for Luxury Presence’s most important clients.
- Lead projects that directly influence product roadmap and brand visibility.
- Work with a high-caliber, cross-functional team in a focused environment.
- Help shape the engineering culture and processes of a growing premium services division.
