The Opportunity
As a Technical Delivery Consultant supporting the Business Data Strategy & Business Technology (BDSBT) portfolio in Operations, you will operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, serving as the key liaison between Operations and Enterprise Technology & Experience (ETX) to ensure data engineering and analytics initiatives align with strategic priorities and deliver measurable business value. This role requires strong technical acumen, portfolio management expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels. You will own critical processes such as prioritization, capacity planning, and portfolio reporting, while maintaining transparency through dashboards, documentation, and disciplined work tracking. Success demands autonomy, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights and drive alignment across diverse teams.
The Team
The Business Data Strategy & Business Technology (BDSBT) team within Operations' Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analytics (BIRA) organization transforms complex business needs into actionable technology solutions. As part of BIRA, our focus is on data, analytics, and reporting needs, blending deep technical expertise with business acumen to align every solution with strategic priorities and accelerate outcomes. We partner closely with Operations, ETX, and BIRA colleagues, serving as the critical connector for these areas between business goals and technical delivery, fostering transparency, collaboration, and disciplined execution. Leveraging industry-leading tools, we enable data-driven decisions through analytics, reporting, visualization, and business technology, empowering leaders to optimize performance and drive advisor centricity. As part of this team, you'll help unlock opportunities and efficiencies across Operations by overseeing the BDSBT portfolio and ensuring critical delivery.
The Impact
As a Technical Delivery Consultant, you will own and manage the BDSBT portfolio, providing end-to-end oversight of data engineering and data strategy initiatives to ensure alignment with business priorities and deliver measurable value. In this this role you will act as a technical advisor and connector, bridging Operations' data, reporting, and analytics needs with ETX to foster collaboration and accelerate delivery. You will lead disciplined prioritization processes, evaluating work against strategic objectives, capacity, and architectural standards while maintaining transparency through documentation and portfolio reporting.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborating with project managers, initiative leaders, and business stakeholders to synthesize and sequence requirements, optimize resources, and drive efficiency.
  • Ensuring rigorous quality by partnering with data analytics engineers to validate solutions meet business requirements, usability standards, and data integrity.
  • Monitoring team capacity and KPIs to proactively manage risks, rebalance workloads, and enable predictable delivery.
  • Providing visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies, strengthening cross-functional relationships and supporting operational excellence.

The Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • 8+ years leading complex technical programs and strategic initiatives.
  • 4+ years Demonstrated ability to run disciplined prioritization and portfolio management processes, ensuring all work aligns with business strategy and resource capacity.
  • 4+ years maintaining comprehensive program-level documentation to ensure transparency, traceability, and effective change control.
  • 2+ years using Jira or other project or program management tools to capture, update, and track portfolio work, ensuring a single source of truth for scope, progress, and dependencies, and regularly updating initiative lists or dashboards for leadership transparency.
  • 2+ years working with data engineering, data architectures, or data analytics teams, with the ability to evaluate technical proposals, guide teams, and ensure technical delivery.

The Ideal Qualifications
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry bridging the gap between Operations and technology data analytics and reporting needs.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic technology portfolios in partnership with business and technology organizations.
  • Adept at navigating difficult conversations and achieving alignment through consensus building and collaboration.
