Technical Business Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Gather and document detailed business requirements for analytics projects, including data definitions, reporting needs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct thorough needs assessments, including interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and challenges.
- Translate business requirements into clear, concise, and testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to define data models, data pipelines, and analytical methodologies.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, and system design documents.
- Participate in agile development sprints, providing ongoing support and clarification to the development team.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define and execute testing plans.
- Ensure that delivered solutions meet the defined business requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Prepare and present data-driven reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of analytics solutions and identify areas for improvement.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data analytics, data warehousing, and business intelligence technologies.
- Research and evaluate new tools and technologies that can enhance the company's data capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on analytics and data-related projects.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience on Google Analytics and Segment.
- Familiarity with SQL and other data query languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with data governance and data quality best practices (preferred).
Compensation, Benefits and Duration
Minimum Compensation: USD 40,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 140,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
