You’ll be managing market-based product design and development, guiding new product creation from customer needs and engineering principles through prototyping. It also ensures the sustainment and control of existing products, maintaining their technical and functional integrity.

What you’ll do as Technical Author:

  • Create technical documentation related to manufacturing processes, operating/work instructions, equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers, process experts, and production teams to gather and validate technical information.
  • Translate complex technical data, schematics, and process flows into clear manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Aggreko’s quality policies.
  • Support continuous process improvement by documenting best practices and lessons learned.
  • Create and review visual aids such as illustrations, flowcharts, and schematics to complement written content.
  • Evaluate product information needs based on stakeholder and system requirements. Manage documentation projects to meet deadlines and business objectives.

You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in Technical Writing (maximum experience required: 4 years).
  • Proven experience in technical writing with a strong technical background in engineering or manufacturing, with the ability to quickly understand complex products, processes, and systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineers and production staff.
  • Excellent communication skills in translating complex technical information into accessible content.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO standards.
  • Experience with document management systems and technical illustration or graphic design tools.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to documentation quality.
