Technical advisor and staff coordinator for a senior executive in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security’s Sensitive Activities & Special Programs Directorate. Provides staffing coordination and assistance to the director. Advises the director on intelligence matters as it relates to policy and budgeting. Coordinates staff actions for sections in the directorate which include the joint hard targets strategies, foreign material program, and other special programs. Coordinate actions, requirements, and workflows across the Intelligence Community, inter-governmental agencies, Department of Defense, and office at the senior and staff levels on behalf of the director. Advise the director on technical intelligence matters and prepare senior leader technical correspondence. Should have a comprehensive understanding of the intelligence community from the tactical to strategic levels and provide sound advice to the director as issues arise. Should be comfortable communicating with senior leadership across the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community and their staffs.

Basic Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent intelligence community experience
  • Higher headquarters DoD staff experience
  • Completion of a basic intelligence course (service or otherwise) and > ten years experience working intelligence issues in the field and on a staff.
  • Experience drafting staff correspondence.
  • Experience briefing senior leaders.
  • Active TS/SCI required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pentagon service-level or senior level staff
  • Defense budgeting
  • Tactical-level intelligence experience
  • Intelligence or defense planning experience
  • Master’s degree
  • Intelligence Community leadership

Salary Range: $120,900.00 - $181,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date. However, this timeline may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
