Join our team to play a pivotal role in mitigating tech risks and upholding operational excellence, driving innovation in risk management. 
As a Tech Risk & Controls Lead in Corporate Sector/ Chief Technology Office - Operations Execution & Governance - Risk, Controls and Regulartory team, you will be responsible for identifying, and mitigating compliance and operational risks in line with the firm's standards. You will also provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to technology-aligned process owners, ensuring that implemented controls are operating effectively and in compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards. By partnering with various stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business Control Managers, and Regulators, you will contribute to the reporting of a comprehensive view of technology risk posture and its impact on the business. Your advanced knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and theories will enable you to drive innovative solutions and effectively manage a diverse team in a dynamic and evolving risk landscape. 
 

You will help shape governance capabilities, drive adoption across regions, and enable innovation in a well-controlled way. As a member of the Firmwide Citizen Development Control Governance team within Risk, Control & Regulatory (RCAR), specifically you will translate strategy into clear programs, projects, and releases that deliver measurable outcomes across business units and technologies supported by the team. You will partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify needs, prioritize work, and translate requirements into discrete deliverables. You will also plan and facilitate working sessions, define business requirements and high-level conceptual designs, and balance technical, operational, and business considerations as you oversee end-to-end delivery. Success in this role requires strong project execution, clear communication, and the ability to influence without authority in a cross-functional, global environment
Job responsibilities

  • Ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and management of technology risk, focusing on root cause analysis and resolution recommendations
  • Managing book of work aligned to Citizen Development governance strategy with owning and manage a prioritized book of work to independently identify needs and translate them into high-impact deliverables/releases/projects delivered in a timely manner
  • Develop and execute projects and deliverables in overseeing delivery end-to-end by managing scope, costs, timelines, and resources - mitigating risks, removing blockers, and escalating issues early with clear evidence and integrity
  • Leading a cross-functional line of business working sessions in organizing and chair working groups and related forums with clear agendas, decisions, and documented outcomes
  • Use data to drive decisions and continuous improvement with using data to monitor progress, identify trends and root causes, and make timely course corrections with continuously improving processes and procedures to enhance quality and productivity
  • Stay current on regulatory and industry expectations to maintain awareness of developments impacting data risk and governance, and ensure programs remain aligned to evolving expectations and standards for risk and conduct
  • Stakeholder Management and Partnership in building and sustaining strong relationships with global counterparts and stakeholders to align on priorities, leverage expertise, and facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes efficiently
  • Support senior leadership and assurance activities with providing clear, audience-appropriate communications and progress updates to senior management with responding effectively to regulatory, internal audit, and other governance-related requests and 
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate synthesis of risk/control evidence and draft executive-ready reporting, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements
  • Develop and maintain robust relationships, becoming a trusted partner with LOB technologists, assessments teams, and data officers to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and progress toward shared goals
  • Promotes reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches to streamline recurring control testing and issue/action-plan management routines, ensuring human review and alignment to auditability and regulatory expectations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, cybersecurity, or a related field, with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation 
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support technology risk and controls workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted risk summaries and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to security, auditability, and regulatory expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and supporting system migrations and implementations, and the end-to-end system development lifecycle from a business and/or operational perspective
  • Ability to partner with Engineering teams and act as a liaison between business/operational stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into clear requirements, priorities, and acceptance criteria
  • Strong attention to detail when managing change or monitoring business-as-usual (BAU) activities, including data conversion and reconciliation processes to validate completeness, accuracy, and control adherence
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing concise documents and updates for senior audiences and stakeholders
  • Effective project management and time management skills, including the ability to work autonomously under deadlines with consistent execution discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills; comfortable influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels and across functions
  • Experience creating design mockups to support solutioning and technical buildouts (i.e., Figma, etc.)
  • Experience analyzing data and translating observations into clear, actionable insights for decision-making and stakeholder communication

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Risk management and/or data management experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly MS Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Experience with workflow management tools like JIRA or equivalent
