About the Opportunity: We are a leading mortgage servicing, SaaS-based, financial technology company committed to excellence and innovation. We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic Technology department as a Staff Tech Business Systems Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong background in business systems analysis to contribute to the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge systems.

 

Your day-to-day at Sagent:

Liaison between IT Development, Business Units and external clients:
  • Act as a key liaison between the IT development group and business units.  This can also include acting as a key liaison between the IT development group and an external client.  
  • Facilitate effective communication for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
Systems Requirements Evaluation:
  • Evaluate new applications and identify systems requirements.
  • Meet and discuss business requirement with external clients and identify system alternatives and enhancements to the current system.
  • Assess new IT developments and evolving business requirements, recommending appropriate systems alternatives and enhancements to current systems.
Communication and Presentation:
  • Prepare communications and make presentations on system enhancements and alternatives.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem Solving and Analysis:
  • Solve technology information systems problems by analyzing requirements and existing systems.
  • Pseudo-design computer programs and recommend system controls and protocols.
Interface between Business and Technology:
  • Act as the interface or 'translator' between the business and technology functions of the company.
  • Work to understand overall business needs, create business cases, and define technical requirements.
Planning and Stakeholder Analysis:
  • Use planning, stakeholder analysis, risk assessment, organizational analysis, and interface analysis to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Apply writing skills and user experience knowledge to ensure the user interface aligns with project success.
 

We would love to hear from you if you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Software Engineering, or relevant discipline with 3 - 4 years of experience in a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Preferred: 4 years of experience in a fast-paced software industry, preferably in the Mortgage or Financial Services industries. 
  • Preferred: 4 years of experience in Mortgage Servicing, LoanServ system.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in evaluating new applications and identifying systems requirements.
  • Familiarity with IT developments and business requirements.
  • Ability to act as an effective liaison between IT and business units.
  • Planning, stakeholder analysis, risk assessment, organizational analysis, and interface analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of user experience principles.
