In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop a team of individual contributors with low to moderate complexity and risk in Corporate Tax functional area
- Provide strategic consultation to leaders companywide on tax matters
- Develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state and international income tax matters
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding income tax and accounting discipline of Corporate tax functional area to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop processes, policies and procedures consistent with company values and federal, state and international tax laws
- Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues and multiple level managers
- Interact with external agencies, jurisdictional income tax authorities and industry forums
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Corporate Tax
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
- 4+ years of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
- 4+years tax compliance experience and GAAP tax accounting
- 2+ years people management experience leading, developing, and retaining high performing team of leaders
- Knowledge of US GAAP principles in the banking and financial services industry
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence and lead change.
- Detail oriented with ability to translate strategy into actionable steps across direct and indirect teams.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing US federal and state income tax returns
- Experience with analytical tools, Alteryx, and Power BI
- Ability to assess current processes/procedures and make recommendations for efficiency
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Hybrid work arrangement
