Additionally, they will support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) by offering tax advice on domestic and international transactions, conducting due diligence, structuring deals, assisting with post-transaction integration, and negotiating tax-related provisions in agreements.

Collaboration is also a critical aspect of this role, as the individual will work closely with internal teams, such as finance, legal, and business units, to provide tax guidance, while also engaging with external advisors like law and accounting firms to address complex tax matters. Furthermore, they will act as a subject-matter-expert, offering training and education on federal, state, and international tax issues to internal stakeholders as needed.

  • Experience in handling federal, state, and international tax audits, appeals, and litigation.

  • Proven ability to provide strategic tax planning advice in a business context.

  • Expertise in analyzing and structuring M&A transactions, including cross-border deals, from a tax perspective.

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
