Tax Accountant InternshipRemote within Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA
This 12-16 week part-time internship is scheduled to start in June 2025 and we are seeking to identify talent for future openings with this role.
The Tax team at Cambia is dedicated to providing world class financial services through excellence in people, processes, and technology. Join this dynamic team as an intern and gain real-world tax experience.
Duties and opportunities may include, but not be limited to:

Assist with financial examinations and tax audits

Contribute to the preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns

Assist with indirect taxes
-
Prepare monthly tax accruals and journal entries
-
Prepare quarterly tax reconciliations
-
Partner on tax fixed asset accounting

Implement process improvements
Position qualifications include the following:
-
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Accounting, Finance, Tax or Business Administration with an expected graduation date on or before May 2025. (Candidates who have obtained their degree within the last nine months are also encouraged to apply)

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.25

Ability to think analytically and make sound judgments from analysis

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Passion for learning in the field of taxation
-
Legally authorized to work in the United States
The base hourly range for this job is $22.00 - $27.00, depending on candidate's experience.
