If so, Leidos is seeking an experienced Talent Development Lead to join the Learning & Development team. This position is a full-time role working closely with technical leadership, learners and line leaders to develop effective and engaging adult learning opportunities for employees in our Engineering Upskilling Program.  If you are ready to join an exciting and dynamic team in a position where you can make a difference, send us your resume!

Primary Responsibilities..

The Talent Development Lead will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the Engineering Upskilling Program for the Enterprise to include:

  • Conducting periodic learning needs analyses to document the current state and define the learning objectives for the ongoing and future needs of the program.
  • Leading the design of new or refresh of existing learning paths working with Key Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Managing assigned learning vendor relationships including reporting and utilization of the program content.
  • Consulting with SMEs on the review of vendor content options in alignment with program learning objectives, determine gaps, and propose the best solutions given budget and other constraints.
  • Evaluating new learning vendor partners as needed to support the needs of the upskilling program.
  • Maintaining knowledge of and relationships with external organizations that provide certification/training that benefits our workforce.
  • Familiar with the Core Foundational Principles and Subjects and Engineering-based Learning
  • Evaluating and measuring learner progress and skill gain using learning pathways in specialized engineering domains.
  • Evaluating metrics to demonstrate return on investment, utilization, and overall health of the program in alignment with Learning and Development goals.
  • Developing and implementing a Learner Engagement Strategy Action Plan to ensure learner utilization and engagement in the program.
  • Identifying and engaging with employees at multiple levels across the enterprise through regular informational sessions and specialized communications.
  • Managing the Prism intranet resources for the Upskilling program to include overall page layout, posting calendar events, and writing blogs, as needed.
  • Collaborating with members of the learning administration team supporting the Upskilling program.
  • Project managing work to include identification of required tasks, responsible parties, milestones, timeline, and regular communication with project team members and leadership.
  • Partnering with all Technical Upskilling Learning Programs to promote effective knowledge exchange and drive synergy.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Basic Qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience. Four+ years of experience in a training/teaching position. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering disciplines (e.g., systems, software, or electrical engineering), preferably through an engineering degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual team and work autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous, quickly evolving environments.
  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks on multiple simultaneous projects to meet competing deadlines.
  • Ability to assess training effectiveness using diverse evaluation methods and analyze data to drive program improvements.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively engage with technical staff, peers, and management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in consulting with SMEs, stakeholders, and leadership to design and implement scalable, data-driven learning solutions.
  • Strong communication skills in visual, oral, and written formats, with the ability to clearly explain instructional options, recommendations, and design rationale to decision-makers and subject matter experts.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering customer-centric learning solutions.

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Technical mindset with ability to quickly assimilate a large volume of information.
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of digital engineering is a plus.
  • Instructional design experience incorporating technologies into the design and delivery of online and blended-learning solutions.
  • Able to facilitate training, virtual and in-person.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, e.g., Workday Learning, is a plus.
  • Experience with Prism pages, wikis, etc., is a plus.

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
