Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

We are looking for a Talent Brand Program Manager with a focus on talent engagement and community building. Your role will include both traditional talent brand tactics as well as experimentation with on-chain communities and non-traditional channels. You'll collaborate across the Talent team to analyze and enhance our hiring strategy to bring more on-chain talent to Coinbase. If you excel in building, experimentation, and data-driven optimization, this opportunity is for you.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage and nurture talent communities globally
  • Build engagement strategies that include CRM, email campaigns, nurture campaigns, events, and/or employee advocacy programs
  • Research and develop a strategy for building networks and participating in communities that discuss onchain, crypto or NFT topics
  • Perform competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices to attract top talent and build our employer brand globally
  • Leverage data and insights to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies
  • Help identify and support events aligned with high priority talent segments and build candidate engagement strategies

What We Look For In You (ie. Job Requirements):

  • 5+ years of experience in talent branding, marketing, or community building
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven ability to develop, execute, and optimize talent attraction or marketing programs that yield ROI
  • Experience with various marketing tactics including email campaigns, events, employee advocacy, and more with ability to measure effectiveness and ROI using data
  • Strong portfolio showcasing professional achievements in talent brand and network building
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Good quantitative and deductive skills, with the ability to support data-driven decisions

Nice to haves:

  • Active member and contributor to the web3 community with onchain experience
  • Proven experience with HR technology platforms and tools  like Greenhouse, Gem, Talent Insights, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc
  • Experience with event coordination or management

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
