Overview

What You Will Do

We are looking for a Recruiter who thrives in the fast-paced "agency" rhythm. You will own the full talent lifecycle for both full-time (FTE) and freelance roles, acting as a talent scout for the most innovative minds in tech and production.

  • Manage a high-volume req load (10-15+ roles) across Engineering, Applied AI, Creative Tech, and Digital Production
  • Rapidly source and vet contractors for project-based needs. You will be the gatekeeper of our freelance roster, ensuring we can scale teams up or down in days, not weeks
  • You won't just post on LinkedIn. You will map out the talent landscape at competitor agencies and tech hubs to proactively find the "uncommon" talent LFL is known for
  • Act as the first "human" touchpoint for LFL. You’ll ensure a seamless, empathetic, and transparent process that reflects our culture of "Pragmatic Innovation"
  • Build diverse pipelines as a default, not an afterthought, utilizing niche job boards and community outreach
Required Skills

What You Will Need to be Successful

  • 1-3 years of digital agency experience - the ability to multitask, communicate with urgency, and understand the nuances of billable hours and project-based hiring
  • You should be comfortable vetting candidates in the "Grey Area" of tech (e.g., Unity Developers, Creative Technologists, and AI Engineers).
  • Expert-level knowledge of Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and creative sourcing (GitHub, Behance, Slack communities).
  • Experience navigating the legal and logistical nuances of 1099/contractor hiring is a major plus
  • Strong experience with ATS platforms (iCIMS) and a "data-first" approach to tracking your pipeline
Compensation

The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $75,000 and applies only to jobs performed in Culver City, California. This range represents the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Please note that we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)

  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
