About Talent Acquisition
Talent Acquisition at Huge doesn’t just fill roles; we thoughtfully architect the teams that build the world’s most ambitious brands. Following our philosophy of designing for people, not users, we treat the candidate experience as a premium product—one that is intelligent, seamless, and deeply personalized. Innovation is in our DNA, and as such, we continuously identify opportunities to break the mold and optimize our strategies and ways of working to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you'll be at the forefront of unlocking global growth and scale by strategically connecting world-class talent to key roles within a culture that thrives on energy and excellence.
What’s the role?

Huge is seeking an ambitious Talent Acquisition Manager to drive the focused effort of global freelance hiring across our core disciplines- Creative, Tech, Strategy, Delivery. In this role, you'll be a critical strategic partner to the business while building a trusted, high caliber network of independent talent that enables Huge to scale with diligence and speed when it matters most.
While the primary focus of this role is supporting freelance hiring, you'll also lead full-cycle recruitment as a generalist for associate to mid/senior level positions within our US, CAN, and the UK markets.

What you’ll be doing.

  • End-to-End Freelance Management: Own the full lifecycle of freelance recruitment, from initial brief and sourcing to rate negotiation, and contract extensions.
  • Specialized Sourcing: Build and maintain a "warm" pipeline of global elite freelance talent across Creative (Visual and XD), Technology, Data & AI, Product Management, Content Strategy, and Program Delivery.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with global Craft leads and Team Design (Resource Management) to anticipate talent needs and provide market insights on freelance rates and availability.
  • International Reach: Understand the nuances of our global operating markets while ensuring compliance in partnership with our Talent Operations team.
  • Speed & Quality: Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality candidates under tight deadlines without sacrificing the candidate experience.
  • Process Optimization: Refine the freelance hiring workflow to ensure it is frictionless, compliant, and integrated with Huge’s overall talent strategy.
  • Negotiation: Manage complex rate negotiations and contract terms, balancing project budgets with the need for top-tier talent.

What we’d like to see.

  • Rising Star: You have 5+ years of full-cycle freelance and full-time recruiting experience, specifically within a design or technology agency, consultancy, or high-growth tech environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: You speak the language of design and tech. You know the difference between a Product Designer, Visual/Brand Designer and Experience Designer. You understand the nuances of hiring for emerging tech/AI and strategy talent.
  • Networker by Nature: You have an existing "rolodex" of freelance talent and know where to find the best independent contractors in the digital space.
  • Agile Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity and can pivot quickly when project scopes change.
  • Curator of Logistics: You are highly organized, capable of managing a high volume of  freelance needs simultaneously across multiple time zones.
  • Research: You know how to leverage tools and platforms to unearth the best of the best.
  • Effective Communicator. Trusted Advisor. Strategic Decision Maker. Outcome Builder.

This role is currently not available for hire or work in New Mexico, and Hawaii, USA.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
