About the Role

We are not looking for someone who simply fills open positions.

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager who understands that great recruiting is part sales, part matchmaking, and part fierce protection of company culture.

At How to Manage a Small Law Firm, many of our roles are highly specialized and difficult to fill. Success requires digging deeper than keywords, job titles, and polished interview answers. You will identify, attract, and close people who have the skills to succeed and genuinely belong in our culture.

What You Will Own
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting across multiple departments and levels
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies for specialized, hard-to-fill roles
  • Build relationships with passive candidates and keep strong talent engaged
  • Partner with hiring managers to define what the right fit truly looks like
  • Evaluate candidates for performance, motivation, values, and long-term alignment
  • Communicate our mission, expectations, and culture with honesty and enthusiasm
  • Manage recruiting activity, pipelines, and hiring results through measurable goals
  • Continuously improve the candidate experience and hiring process
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience recruiting for specialized or difficult-to-fill positions
  • A sales mindset and the ability to influence, communicate, and close
  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment skills
  • Excellent judgment, especially when the obvious candidate is not the right candidate
  • Confidence working directly with senior leaders and hiring managers
  • Comfort using an ATS, recruiting data, and performance metrics
  • Exceptional organization, follow-through, and personal accountability
You Will Thrive Here If You
  • Care more about making the right hire than making the fastest hire
  • Are persistent without becoming pushy
  • Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions
  • Communicate directly, clearly, and respectfully
  • Enjoy ambitious goals and being measured by meaningful results
  • Want to be an active part of a remote team and its culture

This is an opportunity to shape more than our workforce. You will help protect and strengthen the culture that makes How to Manage a Small Law Firm who we are.

Candidates must reside in one of the states where we currently hire: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, or Washington

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
