BAE Systems is seeking Systems Test Engineer in Fort Wayne for our Integrated Communications Solutions business.
The BAE Systems Integrated Communications Solutions business is the primary source of VHF/UHF SATCOM Tactical Radio (TR) equipment to the Army and USAF. This team is responsible for the Architecture, Specification, Development and Analysis of Mission Critical equipment in support of over the horizon mission communications. Some aspects of this work are classified.
The candidate will have a wide range of activities to perform from a Systems Engineering perspective. Integrating hardware and software on a tactical airborne subsystem, create requirements for hardware and software development, assist our military customers with BAE product's integration or testing, dive into existing LabView code to resolve an observed issue, create deliverable documentation, or prepare estimates or technical content for a multi-million dollar proposals. There are plenty of subject matter experts that are available to assist when questions arise or obstacles are encountered, which will grow your expertise.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Full-Time Salary Range: $63662 - $108225

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

The System Engineering group's activities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and working with existing test architectures utilizing LabView & TestStand
- Design hardware interface test adaptors (ITA)
- Performing integration, verification, and validation of Airborne Tactical Radios.
- Support product testing locally and at supplier locations
- Support on-site customer integration at various military bases
- Developing product specifications and design documentation using DOORS
- Ability to follow, modify, and create test procedures
- Creating qualification test plans, procedures, and reports.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- STEM degree with 1-3 plus years of applicable experience developing and deploying Test software
- Signal Processing background
- The ability to successfully acquire a security clearance of SECRET within 1 year
- Experience with test software development and automation tools (LabVIEW, TestStand, GIT, JIRA, etc
- Experienced with (RF sources, Network Analyzers, Signal Analyzers, RF Power Meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc)
- Proven use and understanding of test engineering concepts
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and work in a dynamic environment
- Experience using MatLab to facilitate testing
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Currently hold an active Secret clearance
- Familiarity with ESS equipment (thermal chambers, vibration systems, and SQL databases)
- Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio (VB/C#) software development
- Familiarity with principles of Gage R&R
- Experienced / trained in MBSE
- Experienced integrating a system containing multiple electronic sub-assemblies
- Proficient with MatLab
- Experienced with DOORS
