Job Summary
Systems Engineering Intern will support the development of an automated regression test system. The test system will be implemented in LabVIEW and designed to communicate with our products over Ethernet, enabling simulation, emulation, test automation, test regression, and requirement verification.
The Systems Engineering Intern will work closely with engineers on requirement gathering, feature verification, and potentially software development if you have coding experience. This role will provide hands-on exposure to system testing, software validation, and automation in a real-world engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in defining system requirements for the automated test system.
- Support the development and verification of test features to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
- Work with engineers to validate system performance against product requirements.
- Develop test automation scripts and regression tests in LabVIEW or Python.
- Contribute to software implementation, debugging, and documentation if proficient in coding.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Familiarity with system engineering principles such as requirement definition and verification.
- Basic understanding of test automation and regression testing.
- Ability to document test cases, results, and system requirements clearly.
- Experience with LabVIEW for test automation.
- Knowledge of Python and C for potential test script development.
- Experience with simulation and emulation tools in a test environment.
- Exposure to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and software development workflows.
The hourly range for jobs which are performed in US, Massachusetts is $18.00 to $20.00. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and work location.
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which requires working onsite a minimum of 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and 1-day of your choice. In certain circumstances the hybrid work model may change to accommodate business needs.
