The group's main business is the implementation of mission critical digital mobile communication systems for Government & Public Safety Communications customers.
Job Description

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for carrying out field engineering duties during a radio system upgrade cycle. The Engineer will be responsible for upgrading/deploying various devices which include network gear, windows based devices, virtual machines and some Motorola proprietary devices. Along with above duties, individual will be a customer facing technical resource through the upgrade effort. The Engineer will be primarily traveling to southeast states’ customer locations to carry out their duty.

System Engineer roles and responsibilities:

• Final Design and implementation of the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers and mobile backhaul

• Lead customer presentations

• System staging

• Complete system documentation

• Live system upgrades

• Ensuring the integrity of the architecture/design

Up to 65% travel is required for upgrade projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Great communication skills verbal and written

• Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE highly desirable

• Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) highly desirable

• Experience directly working with end-user customers is essential

• Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences is essential.

Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $150,000 USD

Basic Requirements

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Cybersecurity or Networking and 3+ years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers.
