About the Role:

The Systems Analyst job contributes to the strategy around application management for the core banking platforms. This role partners with the business as needed regarding application specific issues, projects, and requests. This role will assist business partners through application road mapping, documentation, prioritization, and recommendations.

Reporting to the Director of Core Systems Management, the Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business needs to develop and implement solutions that leverage systems and processes. Using knowledge of the organization's software applications as well as creating and maintaining framework for our current configurations. Systems Analysts are considered stakeholder/contributor on complex systems projects and project teams, to assist in full lifecycle project implementation and exercise advanced technical knowledge of all phases of applications.

Responsibilities:

Application Management and Operations

  • Facilitate discussions regarding the architecture of the application suite.

  • Monitor performance, improvements, and sustainability through key metrics.

  • Effectively communicate and/or present on application management concepts including trend analysis, system status and issues, and recommendations.

  • Work with key business units to develop system roadmaps, assist in annual planning exercise, and ensure Connexus utilizes applications to their fullest potential.

  • Incorporate new data into an existing core systems and business applications to benefit Connexus.

  • Work in collaboration with the Business Intelligence and Applications Reporting Programmers to collect and transform data to be used in core systems and business applications.

  • Performs time sensitive and critical processes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually to support the business operations.

  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to business systems analysts, quality assurance, and developers where to alleviate the problem.

               

Application Configuration and Optimization

  • Identify and document systems gaps and opportunities for optimization.

  • Identify opportunities for improvements, expansion, and/or reduction of services that meet the needs of the enterprise.

  • Research proposed solutions for technical requirements and business needs.

  • Recommend and participate in the analysis, evaluation, development, and enhancement of enterprise applications.

  • Participate in Proof-of-Concept projects/models required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption.

  • Identify implementation risks and analyze potential impact to the enterprise and on the success of planned objectives.

  • Act as a change agent to instill a problem solving and continuous improvement culture in all areas of the credit union.

  • Configure and design software systems to meet business unit’s needs; create related documentation such as system use case diagrams and data flow diagrams.

  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of vendor-based and in-house computing systems and pinpoint where changes need to be made.

Project and Application Support

  • As needed, run smaller system upgrade projects including developing the plan/milestones, leading meetings, and monitoring progress.

  • Individually perform necessary application configuration and other setups.

  • Coordinate and participate in tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post implementation support.

  • Assist with the creation of training material needed for upgrades based on interpretation of release notes and impact to business units.

               

IT Administration and Other Duties

  • Meet regularly with manager to review work, discuss project status, recommend process changes, voice concerns, and seek guidance, as necessary.

  • Participate in the technical community across the organization that fosters innovation, agile design, and test methodology.

  • Comply with all federal regulations as they pertain to your job duties, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

  • Complete all other tasks, assignments or functions as assigned and/or required.        

Position Requirements:

  • This position is Remote.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or commensurate experience is Required.

  • 5+ years’ experience in field of information technology, systems analysis, or credit union/financial institution business operations is Required.

  • 2+ years’ of demonstrated experience working as an analyst in Core Banking Systems, Loan Origination Systems, CRM, and/or other enterprise applications supporting credit union operations is Required.

  • Strong knowledge of business analysis concepts and applications of those concepts.

  • Solid understanding of project management and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience participating in and/or leading the design, development, and implementation of enterprise software solutions, systems, and products.
